On Friday, October 7th, the Vienna Business Agency and the start-up scene invite you to the “Gründen in Wien” start-up day.
80 events, at 40 different locations and 120 participating enterprises – at “Gründen in Wien”, the Vienna start-up scene shows what it’s made of and what motivates it. On the initiative of the Vienna Business Agency, universities, hubs, co-working spaces, initiatives, funding bodies, interest groups and the business founders in the scene have put together all sorts of events and activities on the theme of start-ups.
The program promises workshops, consultancy with experts, network meet-ups, open houses, talks, various tours to specific start-ups and pitching sessions. These will take place at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, the University of Vienna, the TU Wien and the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences. “The day will be made possible through the dedication of our 42 program partners and shows how much team spirit there is in the Viennese start-up scene. This can’t be taken for granted and is an impressive testament to the potential that can be found here in the city”, says Gerhard Hirczi, director of the Vienna Business Agency.
What career opportunities can a start-up offer, which jobs are in demand and where can I find vacancies? This year and for the first time, students can find out more on these topics at a job fair. Around 30 start-ups will present information in Neu Marx about themselves, their vacancies and the opportunities for joining the companies. All those interested in working for a start-up can bring their application documents with them and have their first interviews.
