One of the most critical factors determining success among young companies, is finding their first big customer. “However, innovation is what makes large companies succeed nowadays,” says Bartłomiej Gola, general partner of SpeedUp Group. “We’ve already decided some time ago that the natural course of Huge Thing accelerator’s development would be a close cooperation with corporations and executing the program’s subsequent editions, focusing on both – connecting startups with their first big customers, and partnering corporations with companies, who would support their innovativeness. I’m delighted that we can carry out the first edition of HugeThing in this format alongside one of the leading insurance companies in Poland. It’s a great opportunity for the participants,” he adds.

Who is Huge Thing for?

The Huge Thing program is aimed at teams from Poland and Central and Eastern Europe which are developing projects with global potential, who are determined and willing to work. We’re looking for teams who, additionally, have MVP (Minimum Viable Product), meaning a prototype of a product or service that holds key-functionalities. Equally important is operating within one of the 4 areas in which Aviva is looking for solutions, which would allow them to serve their customers even better i.e.:

  • product and sales (including tools and solutions supporting the work of financial advisors, and mobile applications creating added value for clients),
  • communication and customer service (including insurer-customer digital communication and tools supporting predictive analytics),
  • insurance claim repairs and settlements (including tools for simplified claim repair procedures – property and auto),
  • organizational development (including tools aiding workers’ development and recruitment).
