Recruitment to the third edition of HugeThing.vc, a month-long program, which is carried out in close cooperation with Aviva insurance group, has started. The program is addressed to developers of insurtech projects from Poland and the CEE region, who create business solutions which fall into one of the following four areas: product and sales, communication and customer service, handling insurance claim repairs and settlements, and organizational processes development. Participation in the program offers a chance to cooperate with a leading insurance company in Poland and Europe. Enrollment remains open until October 16.
One of the most critical factors determining success among young companies, is finding their first big customer. “However, innovation is what makes large companies succeed nowadays,” says Bartłomiej Gola, general partner of SpeedUp Group. “We’ve already decided some time ago that the natural course of Huge Thing accelerator’s development would be a close cooperation with corporations and executing the program’s subsequent editions, focusing on both – connecting startups with their first big customers, and partnering corporations with companies, who would support their innovativeness. I’m delighted that we can carry out the first edition of HugeThing in this format alongside one of the leading insurance companies in Poland. It’s a great opportunity for the participants,” he adds.
The Huge Thing program is aimed at teams from Poland and Central and Eastern Europe which are developing projects with global potential, who are determined and willing to work. We’re looking for teams who, additionally, have MVP (Minimum Viable Product), meaning a prototype of a product or service that holds key-functionalities. Equally important is operating within one of the 4 areas in which Aviva is looking for solutions, which would allow them to serve their customers even better i.e.:
Access to the best experts within the market from Poland and abroad, and, thus, a significant dose of business knowledge and knowledge about mechanisms governing the insurance market.
Project enrollment remains open until October 16. Hello Day will initiate the program on November 14 at Aviva headquarters in Warsaw. Later, during the following 4.5 weeks, participants will take part in workshops and individual sessions with mentors, among whom we can find experts like Jerzy Kurgan, Innovation Expert at AVIVA FTLab, MARC WESSELINK from StartupBootcamp, Darius Moeini from Corporate Startup Lab, and Patrick Young.
At that time, among other things, they’ll be refining and testing their business models. They’ll also learn how to conduct sales activities and how to measure their effectiveness. The whole event wraps up December 14 with Demo Day. More info regarding the program, registration form, detailed description of the areas, and rules & regulations may be found at www.hugething.vc.
