Impact Hub Bratislava is opening third round of its Impact Incubator. The application deadline is March 31st, 2017.
Impact Hub Bratislava is a coworking space, event organizer, mentorship platform and incubator for different projects. It is a member of Impact Hub Network, an international chain of hubs spread all around the world. The feature that distinguishes them from other hubs and accelerators is their search for potentially socially impactful projects.
Impact Incubator is a 2-month mentorship program mostly aimed at projects in early stage. What is different for the upcoming year is that individuals can take part in the program as well, opposite to the last year when only teams were allowed in. If you are an individual without your own project, no worries. You can find your team at the kick-off event, IdeaCamp, taking place on April 7th and 8th.
Thanks to endowment fund Nadačný fond Telekom and ZSE (gas and electricity supplies in Slovakia), the program is free of charge for the participants.
“It´s been three years since we have started to support the Impact Incubator, and it´s been the most complex and affordable program dedicated to socially beneficial projects and startups on the Slovak market both by its extent and broad range. We are glad to see that the quality of the projects together with the interest of young people to get engaged into the beneficial entrepreneurship is increasing with each year,” says Tatiana Švrčková, Corporate responsibility Senior specialist for Slovak Telecom.
This year’s Impact Incubator has two categories of interest. As well as the last year, Technology for Good and Social Business represent the fields your project should come from. Ideas from the area of health-tech and sustainability&waste management are more than welcome.
The application phase is open until the end of March. From all the applications, 30 projects will be selected for the Bootcamp. All of them will be granted introductory business and validation mentoring which might be of great value for their next steps. The Bootcamp will be the first funnel for some of the projects. Only 16 of them will make it to the actual Impact Incubator program.
All of the 16 participants of the program will receive more than 30 hours of expert workshops, all in all, more than 130 hours of mentoring, as well as opportunity to present their projects in front of experts and successful businessmen. In addition, each project gets PR and communication support together with shared coworking space.
The organizers will award the winners with financial prize and benefits of 10,000 EUR in total. The best projects can compete for the initial investment of 10,000 EUR from Impact HUB Bratislava.
Don’t forget, applications can be submitted only until the end of March. For more information, please, visit http://impacthub.sk/impactinkubator/.
