The Winter 2016 Round of the Slovak-American Foundation’s US Connections Program will be open from November 1 to December 15, 2016, and innovative Slovak entrepreneurs aiming for expansion to the US are invited to apply. One or more companies will be selected following a competitive selection process, culminating with presentations to SAF’s US Connections Selections Advisors in late January 2017.
SAF supports companies with products that have US market potential and are at a development stage where they can enter the US market in the next 12 months. Companies selected will be awarded $35,000 USD that may be used for market expansion, customer engagement, network development and funding outreach, and can include industry conferences, trade shows, entrepreneurial programs and events. SAF works with each US Connections company to tailor and optimize the US experience.

Since the launch of US Connections in 2015, SAF has made for awards to Slovak companies – Photoneo , Streamstar , Anima Technika (Drone n*Base) and Kickresume. Activities conducted by and for US Connections companies include support for the National Association of Broadcasters conference and accelerator Sprockit, the Consumer Electronics Show, customer targeting, sales travel support and other connections.
