Projects can apply to the US Connections program until April 15th, 2017. The selection will be announced in May.
Slovak-American Foundation (SAF) launched US Connections, a growth and opportunity program for innovative Slovak entrepreneurs, in November 2015. Each year, three rounds of applications will be reviewed and considered and companies selected will receive financial support valued at $35,000 each to be used over 12-18 months for customized travel to the US to participate in short, structured knowledge programs that are specifically targeted to their business needs.
This could include participation in trade shows and industry conferences, location in designated incubators/accelerators, training and education, entrepreneur networking events or pitch sessions like TechCrunch Disrupt and Startup Alley.
Since the launch of US Connections in 2015, SAF has awarded four Slovak companies – Photoneo, Streamstar, Anima Technika (Drone’n’Base), and Kickresume.
SAF works with each US Connections company to tailor and optimize the US experience. Companies must clearly articulate their business needs and make a case for how participation in the US Connections program could accelerate the company.
Slovak entrepreneurs who are selected for participation will provide reporting on activities in the US as well as business impact, and will agree to share their experiences with other entrepreneurs as part of a peer-to-peer network.
