The innovation hub weXelerate connects large corporates and international startups in order to jointly develop new service areas, tap into new markets, as well as unite multipliers, supporters and investors in one place.
The core piece of this multilayered innovation ecosystem is the four-month accelerator program that is open to startups from all over the world. The modular program structure aims at growth, acceleration of cost-efficient innovation processes and market success of new product and service launches. In order to reach these goals, 15 large corporates and more than 50 startups engage in a structured collaboration during the batch period.
More than 100 accomplished mentors with long-standing experience in entrepreneurship, management or consulting are at the startups’ disposal. Participation in the Accelerator Program is free of charge and startups are not required to share equity. Startups only need to cover their own travel and living expenses.
For the duration of the accelerator program, startups have access to premium working premises in a spectacular real-estate – the weXelerate spaces – located in the heart of Vienna, where numerous educational programs, conferences, podium discussions and networking events take place every day.
In terms of verticals and technology areas, weXelerate primarily focuses on Media, Banking/Fintech, Insurance, Engineering, Energy/Utilities, Blockchain, AI, Mobility and Security.
Stephan Jung, the CEO of weXelerate and Head of the Accelerator Program, points out: “Exceptional entrepreneurial personalities decide which type of know-how, expert advice or coaching their startup currently needs. Therefore, we provide them with individualized access and leave it up to the entrepreneurs to be proactive and extract the most value out of the weXelerate offering.”
The next batch program begins on March 5th, 2018, and ends on June 22nd, 2018, with a Demo Day, which gives startups the opportunity to present themselves to potential customers, employees and the investor community.
